At the end of October I was given the opportunity to focus on myself for awhile. After almost seven years at Vertex Pharmaceuticals I was part of the 15% workforce reduction. My last day of employment was November 1st which also happened to be the opening day for the Epic Race registration. I figured it was a positive omen and I should go do it. First 10 people to finish skiing all 26 resorts owned/operated by Vail Resorts gets a ski pass for life.
There are 12 mountains in the United States, 1 in Switzerland, 5 in Austria and 8 in France. There are 326 racers from 23 states and 8 countries. On December 20th the last mountain opens.
