Roxbury Crossing, MA–Roxbury Community College, 155 Centre Street & Columbus Ave, Roxbury Crossing, MA will host a Recycling Day fund raising event on Saturday, March 31, 2012, from 9am to 1pm.  The collection spot will be in the Overflow lot. The event is free and open to the public to bring for collection the following items: televisions, monitors, computer parts and accessories, refrigerators,
microwaves, air conditioners, and miscellaneous electronics and appliances. In accordance with state and federal law, all computer hard drives will be wiped

CRT Recycling, Inc., of Brockton, Massachusetts, which routinely provides this service throughout southeastern New England for a wide variety of schools and other non-profits, will collect, remove and properly recycle materials.  Proceeds from the re-use and re-selling will benefit the South End Technology Center at Tent City and reduce the amount of e-waste that reaches the waste stream.

Mel King, the Director of South End Technology Center at Tent City, says that the Importance of recycling “goes beyond caring for the environment.  It also shows a sense of responsibility for the planet and its people.”
