Following up on the Syrian-Lebanese walk last spring, the first United South End Settlements (USES) walk of the season again mines the melting pot that was and is the South End. On Monday June 25, Chris Kostaras will share his memories of growing up in the South End when it was a Greek community. Our meeting point is the Greek Orthodox Church on Union Park Street at 6 PM. USES walks are free and proceed at a pace any one can handle. The walks generally last 45 minutes to 1/14 hours and are dog friendly. The optional dinner afterwards will be at the Red Fez if you would like to join Chris for further conversation. We limit attendance to 20 so RSVP to Allistair Mallillin at amallillin@uses.org. You will be notified via email if the walk is cancelled or rescheduled because of the weather.
