Their Courage to be New: Asian American Civic Association Annual Gala

The Asian American Civic Association (AACA), a leading comprehensive non-profit agency addressing the educational, employment, and social service needs of immigrants and economically disadvantaged residents in the greater Boston area, will host an evening of celebration and recognition honoring members of the community who have contributed to creating opportunities for newcomers and economically disadvantaged citizens, ensuring our home remains a vibrant and thriving place to live and work.

The evening will feature awards and a live auction to support AACA’s continued expansion of its workforce development programs, English classes and social services, including the operation of Sampan, the only bilingual English/Chinese newspaper in New England and the Buds & Blossoms Early Education and Care Center, the first Chinese Mandarin-immersion childcare center in Greater Boston.  Entertainment will include a Dragon Dance performed by Wah Lum Kung-Fu and a jazz performance by rising jazz star prodigy Grace Kelly.
