Beginning in June, 2011 the Boston Center for Adult Education is offering a series of interactive walking tours designed to educate and inspire. Explore historical neighborhoods on foot, and discover fascinating facts about the community around us! Whether you’ve just moved to the city and want to get to know your neighborhood, or have lived in the city for years, there’s something for everyone to discover. The BCAE tours will include: A Walking Tour of the Back Bay, A Walking Tour of The Theatre and Financial Districts, A Walking Tour of Beacon Hill, and A Walking Tour of the South End.

After the tour join Instructor Edward Gordon and fellow explorers at one of the neighborhood’s restaurants. Tour guests will receive a complimentary appetizer from a local restaurant including Stephi’s on Tremont, Poe’s Kitchen at Rattlesnake, Jacob Wirth, and 21st Amendment. At the cost of $20.00 you’ll get a tour of Boston and a free appetizer! (*Please note: Dinner is not included in the cost of the class. Complimentary appetizer is valid only when dining with the tour.)

A Walking Tour of The Theatre and Financial Districts: On this tour, we'll seek out tucked away nooks and crannies including Lyndeboro Place, with its stage set-like charms; Boylston Place, now the epicenter of Boston’s nightlife; the historical murals of the Little Building; the high relief sculpture of the Liberty Tree and much more! These neighborhoods have many secrets to be revealed! Receive a free appetizer at the historic Jacob Wirth restaurant following the tour! Tuesday, June 21st, 2011 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM; $20.00
