Hammond Residential Real Estate Presents “Afternoons with Arni”

Artist Arni Cheatham to explore themes from his current exhibit Feathers, et al

BOSTON (July 29, 2016) - The Hammond Residential Real Estate office located in the ATELIER 505 building, at 505 Tremont Street in Boston’s South End, is pleased to announce the next installment of “Afternoons with Arni,” in which local artist Arni Cheatham explores some of the many themes present in his current exhibit Feathers, et al. This discussion, which will focus on cameras and myths, will take place on Sunday, August 7 between 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their cameras and to peruse Cheatham’s work, which is on display through September 2016.

Born in Chicago, IL, Arni Cheatham was introduced to photography at 12 years old when his father gave him his first camera. He worked, starting in his teens, as a Photostat camera operator learning the nuances of photo detail and reproduction for some of Chicago’s major advertising firms until he was drafted in the U.S. Army. Shortly after leaving the military, Arni moved to Boston where he has called the South End home for some 40 years.

In his photography, he specializes in nature - with a passion for birds and landscapes. His works are in the permanent collection at the Boston Athenaeum. Besides being a talented photographer, Arni is a saxophonist, bandleader, educator, master teacher/performer and community activist – a local artistic talent in every way.
