The TENT at Boston Fashion Week (September 27th – 30th) launches the week with an opening night gala hosted by the Mandarin Oriental, Boston and 12 shows over the next three days. Both established and new designers are invited to vie for one of the coveted juried runway slots.

A panel of industry professionals will be looking for a broad mix of design excellence, innovation, and contributions to the community. Designers will be selected based on their individual merits as a designer as well as how well they represent their niche within the context of the local industry as a whole.

Led by founder and Executive Director Jay Calderin, Boston Fashion Week continues to grow, and more importantly evolve under the guiding principle that “Boston Fashion is Smart.”

Designers who are invited to show in The TENT will not be charged a fee. They must however be in a position to hire professional models affiliated with agencies based in Massachusetts, as well as any other costs related to putting on their show. Designers will also be required to sign an agreement in which they commit to following The TENT guidelines. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in designers being replaced by wait-listed designers.

The TENT at Boston Fashion Week is a joint endeavor between Boston Fashion Week, Boston magazine, Mandarin Oriental, Boston, Party By Design, and The Shops at Prudential Center.
