A former Uber driver has been jailed in connection to a series of sexual assaults which took place near the Esplanade and in South Boston, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney.
46-year-old Alejandro Done, of Boston’s South End neighborhood, will be charged with rape, indecent assault and aggravated assault for his alleged role in five attacks that date back to 2006, Suffolk County DA Daniel Conley said Tuesday.
Conley described the string of attacks as ”violent, predatory, stalking type assaults.”

Most recently Done was arrested in December following an incident in which he transported a passenger to an unknown location where he proceeded to strangle and assault the victim.
“We thank the police and prosecutors for their continued vigilance. We are grateful that we were able to work closely with law enforcement to assist in their December 2014 investigation that has led to these additional charges,” an Uber spokesperson told Patch.com.
Done will be arraigned on Wednesday and is currently being held without bail.
