Mike's City Diner Closed for Renovations

Don't panic: The popular eatery should reopen by the end of the week.

For some South Enders seeking their morning breakfast at Mike’s City Diner last week, surprise was the special of the day, as they found the restaurant closed down for renovations.

The space, formerly decked out in 1950s decor, should reopen by the end of the week and will now boast a theme from the 1920s, according owner Jay Hajj.

The menu and staff will remain unchanged.
