Boston's Best Spas

Want to relax? Here are a few of our favorites spas in Boston.

Quick - what's the first thing you think of when I say the word "spa?"

Admit it, you thought of yourself in a big fluffy white robe, cucumbers on your eyes and a big ol’ grin on your face.

There are few things better then a trip to the spa. Indulge in a day just for you at one of Patch Picks' Boston Spas:

  • Several Bostonians heeded the call when we tweeted, “tell us your favorite spa.” BostonMo and Chasinj both quickly replied Bliss Spa at the W Hotel.

The bright and cheery spa located at 100 Stuart St. opened its doors last fall to rousing success. The space is so cheerful, it makes me think I will come out smelling like lemons and feeling like a million bucks. Be prepared for a bit of a steep price tag, but a facial is certainly no place to be a penny pincher.

The Mandarin Spa at 776 Boylston St. takes a holistic approach to the spa experience, bringing you into full relaxation mode the second you walk in the door. Try it with your special someone, as the spa offers Sanctuary Suites for couples.

  • Looking to relax both body and mind? Make an appointment at at 524 Tremont St. in the South End. The spa offers Polarity Therapy, which is meant to align your energy. Says their site, “Use of light touch, intention, as well as use of crystals and sound will align your energy systems creating more balance, inner peace and overall wellness.”
  • Want to make the spa a festive affair? Bring your friends along for the day at Salon Forty Four at 44 Main St. in Charlestown. The day spa and hair design studio is more than happy to accommodate you and your friends for a Spa Party. Get an up-do, a manicure, and a pedicure, then head out on the town for a girls night out.
  • Don’t live near a spa? Have it come to you. At-home spa treatments and services are easy and convenient. Jamaica Plain resident Tara Bellucci tweeted us via @TBella letting us know she is more than happy to bring Mary Kay to you. As a Mary Kay consultant, Bellucci can custom fit products to fit you, all in the comfort of your home. Find her online here.

So relax, kick up your feet, and let someone rub them for you.
