PHOTOS: Youth Baseball Players Get Tips from the Pros

Four members of the Red Sox organization gave one-on-one instruction to youth players at Tuesday's "Sox Talk".

A group of Boston youth got some baseball tips from the Red Sox themselves as part of the final "Sox Talk" event put on by Mayor Menino and Boston Centers for Youth and Families.

Tuesday afternoon, boys and girls gathered at at Ramsay Park to get tips from outfielder Darnell McDonald, pitcher Rich Hill, third base coach Tim Bogar and batting coach Dave Magadan.

The kids, ages 7-14, participated in a baseball skills competition in running, hitting and throwing before the Red Sox showed up to offer one-on-one instruction. The winners received two tickets to a Red Sox game in September.
