Police: Three Arrested And Charged With Assault Over the Weekend

Incidents and arrests in the South End from Friday, March 23 to Sunday, March 25.

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. The following list represents a partial collection of logged incidents.

Friday, March 23

4:01 a.m.—Stephen R. Gassett, of Lafayette Street, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon following an incident on Boylston Street.
9:41 a.m.—Assault and battery reported at 889 Harrison Ave.

12:12 p.m.—Shane T. Yoder, of 444 Harrison Ave., was arresed and charged with willful and malicious destruction of property following an incident on Boylston Street.

12:15 p.m.—Assault and battery reported at 774 Albany St.

1:21 p.m.—Larceny from a building in excess of $200 reported at 242 E. Berkeley St.

2:06 p.m.—Police responded to a report of larceny over $200 from a motor vehicle on Stuart Street.

3:50 p.m.—Daniel Williams, of 25 Isabella St., was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon (other) at 569 Boylston Street.

5:08 p.m.—Police placed Jaleel Burton, of 192 W. Springfield St., in custody and charged him with assault and battery with a deadly weapon (other) at 242 E. Berkeley St.

9:40 p.m.—Police responded to reports of a stolen car on Shawmut Avenue.

10:06 p.m.—Officers investigated an alleged assault at 667 Tremont St.

Saturday, March 24

7:24 a.m.—Police responded to 771 Albany Street and arrested Shawn Craig, of 12 Kensington St. in Roxbury, charging him with disorderly conduct.

7:32 a.m.—A purse snatching was reported at 584 Columbus Ave.

9:56 a.m.—A hit and run accident on Mass. Ave. was reported with property damage.

1:34 p.m.—Officers arrested Luz Andujar, of 101 Waldeck St. in Dorchester, and charged him with possession of a Class B substance (cocaine) at 840 Harrison Ave.

2:09 p.m.—A hit and run motor vehicle accident with property damage was reported on Mass. Ave.

4:40 p.m.—Police received a report of an unarmed robbery on Tremont Street that allegedly occurred around 1 a.m. that morning.

5:48 p.m.—A knifepoint robbery was reported on Mass. Ave.

6:07 p.m.—An assault and battery was reported on Coventry Street.

10:16 p.m.—Michael Francois Hyppolite, of 55 Parkview Road in Waltham, was arrested and charged with larceny over $200 following an incident on Harrison Ave.

Sunday, March 25

9:48 a.m.—Police responded to reports of vandalism at 228 Northampton St.

11:01 a.m.—A possible case of fraud—larceny by scheme—was reported at 781 Tremont St.

11:42 a.m.—A motor vehicle accident with property damage was reported at 34 Trotter Court.

1:16 p.m.—A report of a larceny under $50 at 874 Harrison Ave. was received.

1:51 p.m.—Police received a report that a break-in had occurred overnight to a non-residence at 650 Harrison Ave.

3:11 p.m.—A report from 113 Dartmouth St. indicated a larceny of a building had taken place, with missing items valued between $50 and $199.

4:56 p.m.—Police responded to a report of larceny of a building over $200 at a Dartmouth Street address.

7:37 p.m.—A larceny of $200 or more was reported at 153 Mass. Ave. and investigated by police.

10:37 p.m.—A property owner at 31 Cunard St. reported a larceny of items valued over $200 occurred.
