Popular Boston Movie Theater Looks to Serve Alcohol
AMC Loews Boston Common is looking to turn their second-floor cafe into a bar.

A very popular movie theater in Boston is set to go before the Boston Licensing Board on Wednesday with the hopes of obtaining the right to serve alcohol, Boston.com reports.
AMC Loews Boston Common is looking to turn their second-floor cafe into a bar, AMC Senior Vice President for Food and Beverage George Patterson revealed.
If approved by the licensing board, MacGuffin Bar & Lounge will replace the cafe and serve beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages. The drinks will be allowed inside the theaters, according to Patterson.

Four Massachusetts locations including, Assembly Row in Somerville, Methuen, Framingham, and Dartmouth, currently serve alcohol. 347 other AMC theater locations across the country currently serve as well.
