South End Resident Deborah Kincade Rambo Receives High Honor

President of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston places 13th in Boston Globe's Top 100 Women-Led Businesses List

The Boston Globe Magazine, together with its partner The Commonwealth Institute (TCI), announced the annual Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts, recognizing the honorees at a breakfast event at the Seaport Boston Hotel.

South End resident Deborah Kincade Rambo, President of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston, placed 13th on this list. In her role as President, Debbie is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of one of the largest social services, not-for-profit agencies in Massachusetts.

After serving more than 30 years at Catholic Charities in various roles, Ms. Rambo was named president in June 2010 at a time when the agency faced increasingly challenging economic times and unprecedented programmatic demand for its basic needs services. As a social worker, her understanding of the needs of the agency’s clients, combined with her decades of leadership at the organization, has allowed Catholic Charities to remain financially sound and able to continue the programs and services that more than 200,000 residents of eastern Massachusetts rely on every day.
