Memorial Day is Monday, May 25, the federal holiday means government offices and some businesses will be closed. By state law, liquor stores are closed on Memorial Day in Massachusetts.

  • Schools: Closed
  • Libraries: Closed
  • Banks: Closed
  • Mail: Post offices closed
  • Supermarkets: Open
  • Convenience stores: Open
  • Retail stores: Open at owner’s discretion
  • Restaurants, bars: Open at owner’s discretion
  • Liquor stores: Closed.
  • Trash, recycling: Delayed one day
