Things to Know, Aug. 28: UrbanSitter at Coco Baby

1. Weather: The National Weather Service predicts a pleasant, sunny day with a high of 75 degrees. The evening will cool off to 59 degrees.

2. Shop Local in the South End: Tonight, join the South End Business Alliance for a weekly Wednesday shop local night, which will feature several area businesses and retailers and include prizes and discounts. 

3. Meet the Sitter:  Are you in need of extra childcare help on school days or weekends? Coco Baby (1636 Washington Street) has invited UrbanSitter tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a night of "shopping" for babysitters and back to school gear. . 

4. Science in the Parks: The New England Aquarium is bringing their traveling tidal pool Myrtle Street Park in Beacon Hill, where you can touch and observe a wide range of live tidal pool animals from local waters. This event starts at 4 p.m.

5. Mayor Menino’s Movie Night: Come to Ramsay Park (1917 Washington St.) to watch a free screening of Rio. Bring chairs and blankets to sit on. This event begins at 7:20 p.m.
