Urbanity Dance Summer Camp

Why Summer Dance at Urbanity?

Students will:

-Explore new styles of dance and learn from diverse instructors
-Improve or maintain fitness level (strength, flexibility, and cardio)

-Artistic expression and creativity through choreography

Ages 3-4 Hip-Hop/Contemporary 

Tuesdays + Thursdays 9:00-11:00 am

Mondays + Wednesdays 3:30-5:30pm

Description: Kids ages 3-4 hop, jump, and sing, dancing to fun kid-friendly music . Every class incorporates exercises and games to teach contemporary technique, story-telling through movement, and creative self-expression. Children will spend the first 45 minutes exploring movement with a contemporary focus. After a fun-filled activity involving a craft and a snack, students will explore movement with a hip-hop twist. Bring your own snack!

Benefits: Gross motor skills, coordination, improving fitness/range of motion, improving concentration, following directions, teamwork & confidence

Ages 5-11 Discovery Dance Camp

Monday through Friday 9:00am-1:30pm 

9:00-10:00 am Contemporary/Hip Hop Technique Class

10:00-11:00 am Imagination Station (Students will learn improvisation and create choreography)

11:00-11:30 am Gymnastics

11:30 am - 12:15 pm Lunch (Bring your own)

12:15-1:30 pm Special Guest Teacher (Students will compliment their contemporary dance base with lessons in music, visual arts, and world dance styles)

Extended Day Option: 

Additional childcare that includes games, crafts, and educational activities for children ages 5-11.

8-9 am and 1:30-6:00 pm
