The First Congregational Church in Stoneham’s Choir along with guest instrumentalists, vocalists and narrator will present its annual Easter Cantata on Sunday evening, April 10, 2011, 7:00 p.m. at First Church, One Church Street on the Common in Stoneham.
Directed by the Church’s Music Director Joyce Simpson of Revere, the musical event features over 30 talented singers, narrator, and musicians from Stoneham and neighboring communities, including Brighton, Burlington, Chelsea, Everett, Medford, Melrose, Reading, Revere, Stoneham, Saugus, Waban, Wakefield, Waltham, Weston, Wilmington, and Woburn.
This presentation, In Exultation of the Lord of Lords, by Fettke and Kirkland, offers fresh musical expressions in a variety of styles woven together by the dramatic monologues of the apostle Paul, as he recounts his conversion, insights, and his service to the risen Lord. Please join us as we recount the most momentous event in the history of the universe.
