2-Alarm Fire Breaks Out in Basement of Stoughton Home

STOUGHTON, MA — A two-alarm fire in the basement of a Avalon Street building sent two people to the hospital Saturday morning.

At 10:47 a.m., firefighters responded to the blaze, according to the Enterprise. The fire was put out by 11:15 a.m.

An electric fan placed in a window is being cited as the likely cause of the fire. It is being ruled as accidental.

Walpole, Brockton, Avon and Canton provided aid. Easton and Sharon covered the station.
