2 Men Accused Of Stealing Pickup Truck In Stoughton

MIDDLEBOROUGH, MA — Two men from Middleborough were arrested on Friday morning after they were caught inside a pickup truck, which was stolen from a landscaping business in Stoughton, according to police.

Gerardo Georgi, 22, and Robert Perry, 21, were both charged with receiving stolen property over $1,200. Goergi also faces a heroin possession charge.

Around 3:30 a.m., a woman called Middleborough police about a suspicious vehicle parked in her driveway on Peirce Street. The truck had a logo of a Stoughton landscaping business on the side.

When officers arrived, they immediately recognized Georgi, who police said had an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from charges he broke into several vehicles in downtown Middleborough. Police said they also found a small amount of heroin in Georgi. Police called the owner of the Rose of Sharon Landscaping & Construction Company, who said he didn't know either suspect, and the truck should have been sitting in his driveway.

When officers called Stoughton Police, investigators told Middleborough Police that the business where the truck was has had several recent vehicle break-ins.

Both suspects are expected to be arraigned Friday in Wareham District Court.
