UPDATED: Bulk of 3-Alarm Fire on Wheeler Circle Knocked Down

Fire broke out just before 7 a.m. and quickly went to three alarms. Medflight requested for serious burn victim.

Heavy fire broke out an apartment building on Wheeler Circle just before 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

A second alarm was called for the fire at 145/147 Wheeler Circle once fire officials arrived and quickly went to three alarms. The bulk was reportedly knocked down by 7:30 a.m. and firefighters are overhauling and checking for fire extension. 

Reports say there is heavy fire in the walls of the three-story, wood-framed building. Engines from both Avon and Canton are en route to the location, as mutual aid has been called in. Firefighters are currently searching the building for anyone still trapped inside.

At 7 a.m. Medflight was requested for a serious burn victim on scene. Reports say the injured party has second degree burns over 30 percent of their body.
