5K For Stoughton Crash Victims Info: Race Route, Parking

Celebrate the lives of Christopher Desir, Eryck Sarblah, Nicholas Joyce, and David Bell, while running to raise money for scholarships.

STOUGHTON, MA — This weekend marks one year since Stoughton High School's Christopher Desir, Eryck Sarblah, Nicholas Joyce, and David Bell lost their lives during an East Bridgewater car crash, and the community is still thinking about them everyday. All four of these boys were an important part of the Stoughton High School community, and in their honor, the recreation department is holding a 5K run on Saturday to raise money for scholarships for graduating seniors.

The race starts at and ends at O'Donnell Middle School on a brand new route starting on Cushing Street before turning across Route 27 down School Street, turning around the town pond before heading up Route 27 and turning back to the school. Volunteers at the middle school will also be available for childcare if parents want to run. A map of the 5K route can be found below:

There will be no event parking at the school itself, but surrounding lots have been designated for the 5K. Check out the parking map below.

There will also be a "Fun Run" for younger children, which will be about 1k. Registration is $35 for the 5k, and the "Fun Run" will cost $15. Registration is available online, but you can also register the day of onsite.

Following the race, there will be a celebration on the baseball field adjacent to the school where there will be food vendors, inflatables, Music, and much more. Malone Catering/Cedar Hill Grill, Plenty of Dough Pizza, and Fitfuel Cafe will be the event's food vendors.

All money raised will be split between the "4 Kings Scholarship" in the boys names and a Stoughton Recreation Scholarship for families in need of financial assistance to participate in sports and other summer programming.

As of now plenty of local businesses and organizations are sponsoring the race including the Stoughton Co-Op Bank, RBLA Deisgn, Consigli Construction, Compass Project Management, the Stoughton YMCA, and many more.
