Additional State Road Funding Coming for Stoughton

Over $385,000 is coming to Stoughton.

From State Senator Brian Joyce:

Stoughton will soon receive an additional $385,648 in local road and bridge funds after the administration indicated that they will be releasing the additional $100 million in local funding appropriated by the Legislature last year. The $100 million increase passed by the Legislature is a 50 percent increase over past years and was authorized in the state Transportation Bond Bill overseen by Senator Brian A. Joyce as it passed through the Senate Bonding Committee he chaired.

“I am happy to see the Legislature’s intent become reality to alleviate pressure on the local tax base for maintaining town infrastructure,” said Joyce.
