Alligator False Alarm: Stoughton Police Log

The following are excerpts from the Stoughton Police log. Arrests do not indicate convictions:

June 27

8:28 a.m. - Stoughton Police received a call from the Judge Rottenberg Center about a student jumping out the window. The party was located.

5:38 p.m. - A caller reported finding a lost laptop. Itwas turned into the police station and has been returned to its owner.

June 28

9:40 a.m. - There was a report of shoplifting at Stop and Shop. According to the caller, someone tried stealing $170 worth of seafood. The incident is under further investigation.

4:10 p.m. - Police received a call of fireworks allegedly shot out of a car at Canton Street. The vehicle in question has Massachusetts license plate 452TN6.

June 29

1:38 a.m. - Stoughton Police arrested Brendon Amado, 21 for multiple drug possession charges. Amado's vehicle was stopped after failing to signal on a turn at Broadway.

11:09 p.m. - Police received a call about a male and female parting causing a disturbance at Smokey Bones Barbecue.

According to the caller, the party was stumbling while they walked and appeared intoxicated when they went back to their vehicle. The party reportedly drove off in a newer model Mercedes and had a partial plate of 5LC.

June 3o

2:06 a.m. - Sharon Police Department called Stoughton requesting assistance with a motor vehicle stop.

9:40 a.m. - A party came into the police department and reported identify theft.

8:03 p.m. - Animal Control investigated a report of an Allligator near Taj Estates. The investigation confirmed the alleged alligator was merely a decoy.

July 1

1:16 p.m. - A caller at Ralph Mann Drive reported her husband for throwing things in the house. The party's mother came to pick her up.

2:59 p.m. - Police assisted the fire department with a structure fire at Esten Road.

5:23 p.m. - A caller at Cross Street reported the other party making assault threats after a relationship breakup.
