Amelia's Adding Outdoor Patio

STOUGHTON, MA — Diners at a local Italian eatery will soon be able to enjoy their meal outside.

Tuesday night, the selectmen approved a request from Amelia's to add a patio area to their liquor and common victualer license. The patio is located in the rear of the building.

Marios Michalakis of Amelia's told the board that construction started three months ago and he expects it to be completed by the end of the month. The outdoor seating area is big enough for 120 people and two more bathrooms have been constructed to accommodate the addition.

"All I can say is thank you for what you’ve done and how you’ve turned that place around," Selectmen Chairman David Sousa said.

Amelia's is located at 217 Washington St.
