4 New Stoughton Police Officers Sworn In After Academy Graduation

STOUGHTON, MA — Four new Stoughton police officers were sworn in this month after graduating from the Randolph Police Academy.

Officers Victor Alcantara, Brenden Burnham, Abdul Chabayta and Gavin Morrison graduated from the Municipal Police Training Committee's Recruit Officer Course on Friday, July 17 and were officially sworn in on Monday, July 20, according to the Stoughton Police Department.

The officers completed months of training in law, defensive tactics, firearms, emergency vehicle operations and community policing, according to the department.

Police officials said the new officers will serve Stoughton residents with "honor, integrity and professionalism."
