• Ex Mass cop Matthew Farwell wants expert testimony on alleged gov 'pressure' on ME (bostonherald.com) — A former Stoughton police officer, Matthew Farwell, is seeking to call a forensic pathologist to testify that federal authorities may have pressured a medical examiner in the Sandra Birchmore death case. Prosecutors strongly oppose the expert's proposed testimony as speculative and inadmissible, and a federal court hearing will address pre-trial motions and jury instructions ahead of Farwell's October trial.
