Stoughton School Shelters In Place During Police Response

Police said there is no ongoing threat to the community.

STOUGHTON, MA — A police response to a reported disturbance near Franklin Street prompted a nearby school to briefly shelter in place Tuesday.

Officers investigated the disturbance Tuesday and quickly resolved the situation, according to the Stoughton Police Department. One person was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

Police said there was no ongoing threat to the community. The department did not identify the school, the person arrested or provide details about the warrant.
