Stoughton Public Library has released their monthly newsletter on happenings in the community and library.

From The Stoughton Public Library: The Stoughton Public Library has moved to 529 Washington St. in the plaza between Family Dollar & True Value Hardware. We will operate here with our regular hours for approximately 18 months during the renovation & expansion of the library building at 84 Park Street. We’ve filled the building with a large collection of books, movies, magazines, & audiobooks.

COLOR YOURSELF CALM: ADULT COLORING
Thursday, August 17- 7:00-8:30pm.
Spend an hour & a half at this relaxing craft. Coloring sheets, colored pens & pencils will be provided. Space is limited to 10 adults for these craft programs. Sign up with a visit or call to the

SUMMER READING T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST
The winning design for the 2017 Summer Reading Program ‘Build a Better World’ was created by Aleksandra Lada, a 5th grader at the West School. Aleksandra will receive a $50 check & her design will appear on this
year’s Summer Reading T-shirt. The following students received Honorable Mention awards for their designs along with a Dunkin Donuts gift certificate: Andrea Craig, Grade 5- Gibbons, Lily Galvin, Grade 4-Gibbons, Joseph Lyons, Grade 3- West, Halime Jahed, Grade 7-O’Donnell, Allison Fencer, Grade 3-Gibbons, Julianna Ierardi, Age 10-Blessed Sacrament, Leah McCarty, Grade 4-West, Jackie Zizzo, Grade 4-South, Sara Janelli, Grade 1-South, Nora Alexis Okoh, Grade 3-West. All of these designs will be put on display at the library this summer.
SPLASHES OF COLOR
What was once a big rectangle of white walls is slowly gaining some colorful touches. Watch this
space for further additions to our ’gallery’. On loan from Copley at Stoughton, this 28 panel painting is called April Showers Bring May Flowers. It was created by past and present residents of Copley at
Stoughton. Nothguots (Stoughton backwards) by the late Stoughton artist Jack Wolfe Donated to the library in 2010, The Bookcase Quilt was designed by Wendy Etzel & created by the C.O.A. Stoughton Quilters, under the guidance of Joan O’Hare.
SCIENCE TELLERS AT THE YMCA
Celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program with The Science Tellers as they use storytelling & science
experiments to produce an entertaining &educational event. Audience participation is encouraged. No sign-up required.
PRESCHOOL STORYTIME AT HALLORAN PARK
Saturday mornings from 10:00am-12noon. Join Mrs. Sewcyk at Halloran Park this month for this fun storytime for kids ages 3 1/2 to 6 & their parents or caregivers.
