After spending the last couple of months researching, hypothesizing, experimenting and collecting and analyzing data, almost a quarter of the SHS student body took part in the 53rd Annual Stoughton High School Science Fair held Wednesday at the school.
After being judged Wednesday afternoon, the students, their parents and community members returned to SHS that night for a science palooza held in the gym. Students were operating robot devices, catapults and mousetraps, before an awards ceremony to conclude the evening.
The science fair projects, on display in various science classrooms, ranged from topics dealing with bacteria to sour milk to testing perminent markers to seeing how clothing affects a dead body's rate of cooling.
