Boston Man Charged with Breaking into Vehicle, Chased by Truck Owner

STOUGHTON, MA — A Boston man who broke into a truck was arrested after he was chased down by the vehicle's owner, police said.
James Pearson, 30, was arrested Tuesday and charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle during the night with intent to commit a felony and larceny over $250. He was arraigned Wednesday in Stoughton District Court and was ordered held on $2,000 bail, according to the Enterprise.
At about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday night, police received a call reporting a vehicle break-in and that the owner of the vehicle was chasing the suspect. The owner lost sight of Pearson but police found him allegedly hiding in a car near Walnut and Capen Streets.

Near the car, police found some of the allegedly stolen items.
Pearson is due back in court on Sept. 16.
