Brockton Area Workforce to Hold YouthWorks Resource Fair

The Brockton Area Workforce Investment Board (BAWIB) announces YouthWorks’ 1st Annual Resource Fair. Stoughton residents are part of YouthWorks.  

This event will take place on the Friday, Dec. 27, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Brockton, located at 233 Warren Ave., Brockton.

Youth and parents will have a chance to meet the YouthWorks staff along with other staff members from local youth programs.  Also, youth will be able to learn all about the services that YouthWorks provides.  There will be refreshments from noon – 1 p.m., activities, entertainment and chances to register to win raffle prizes.  Youth, family members, and community members are encouraged to attend the event.

YouthWorks is a One-Stop Career Center that offers employment, career-readiness, and education services to youth between the ages of 14 and 21. Youth who are seeking employment will have access to computers and referral resources related to employment and education opportunities in the region.  

BAWIB provides oversight and funding for YouthWorks through the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA).
