Bullet-Damaged SUV Discovered at Stoughton Restaurant

The vehicle, located behind the Chateau, was found by a Stoughton police officer.

STOUGHTON, MA — An on-duty police officer found a vehicle Wednesday that may have been involved in a shooting in Brockton.

Stoughton police Detective Sgt. Robert Welch tells the Enterprise that Officer Colby Gallagher found the vehicle while on patrol near Park Street at about 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The Jeep Cherokee had a smashed back window and bullets through the windshield.

Tuesday, police in Brockton responded to a report of 17 gunshots fired on Oak Ridge Drive. Police are working to determine if the vehicle is connected to the shooting incident.
