Carjacker Arrested After Chase In Norwood, Stoughton: MSP

The 44-year-old is accused of leading police on a chase across multiple highways Friday evening.

STOUGHTON, MA – A suspected carjacker was arrested after a police chase on multiple highways, state police said. Police began chasing 44-year-old Timothy Kennedy after a reported carjacking in Norwood around 5:30 p.m., according to state police.

Kennedy drove onto I-95 North, continued to I-93 North and then turned onto Rt. 24 South, where he exited at Exit 20B, state police said. He then continued on Rt. 139 before stopping at Turnpike Street in Stoughton, according to police.

The Norwood resident surrendered and was charged with carjacking, operating under the influence of liquor, failure to stop for police and operating to endanger.
