Support columns will be installed in the Gibbons School in response to recent issues with the school's roof.The recommendation comes from a structural engineer, who visited the school on Thursday. Five steel support columns will be installed in the cafeteria and five will be installed in the gym to support the roof <a href="https://www.facebook.com/stoughtonpublicschools/posts/982015141809943" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">according to the Stoughton Public Schools Facebook page.</a>On Wednesday, cracking noises in the gym forced the evacuation of that portion of the school. Classes have not been held in that area of the school since the noises were reported. Work on the roof is scheduled to begin on Friday, with the expectation that the building will be fully usable on Monday.
