A construction worker in Stoughton was injured Tuesday morning after getting hit on the head by a piece of falling concrete.<a href="http://www.whdh.com/story/30808123/construction-worker-hospitalized-after-being-hit-on-the-head-by-falling-concrete" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">WHDH reports</a> that the worker was inside a building on Shuman Avenue that's being remodeled when the concrete fell, crushing him and causing injuries to his head and body.The incident happened at about 7:39 a.m.The worker was taken to Beth Israel hospital.The Stoughton building inspector and OSHA were called to the site to investigate.Photo Credit: WHDH, 7-News

CANTON, MA &ndash; The Campaign to Elect Lisa Lopez announced today that all required signatures and financial documentation has been filed with the Massachusetts Secretary of State, and she is officially on the ballot as a candidate for State Representative for the 6th Norfolk District.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Lopez will be on the Democratic primary ballot in the September 1, 2026 election. &nbsp; Registered voters in the District who are registered Democrats or who are unenrolled in either party (aka &ldquo;Independents&rdquo;) may vote in the Democratic primary.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Candidate Lisa Lopez said &ldquo;I am proud that my nomination papers were signed by voters in the entire District, including Avon, Stoughton and Canton. &nbsp; This previews my commitment to represent all District constituents, including residents, businesses and municipal leaders in these communities.&rdquo;
The last day to register to vote is August 22, 2026..&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
For those who wish the convenience of a mail-in ballot to vote in the September 1, 2026 election, which comes during the summer months before Labor Day, an application for Mail-in Ballot must be requested&nbsp; by August 25, 2026 and received by September 1.
