Dedham Police Conducting Liquor License Compliance Checks

The checks will see if restaurants, bars, and liquor stores are carding customers when they purchase alcohol.

DEDHAM, MA — Dedham bars and restaurants should expect a visit sometime this year from the police department as part of a liquor license compliance check.

Dedham Police on Friday announced, they are conducting compliance checks throughout 2019. The department said in a press release that the purpose of the checks is to ensure that bars and restaurants in town are complying with underage drinking regulations put forth by the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission and the Town of Dedham.

According to police, the compliance checks could include an underage operative trying to buy alcohol with a valid under-21 state license or possibly without one.
