STOUGHTON, MA — The selectmen may have approved the posting for the Stoughton Police Chief position but that doesn't mean it's been posted.  The board is scheduled to meet Thursday morning at 9:15 a.m. to discuss the police chief. Last week, the board voted to adopt the job description, qualifications, and process to find Stoughton's next top cop. The opening was suppose to be posted on Nov. 9, but that hasn't happened, <a href="http://www.enterprisenews.com/news/20161116/week-later-still-no-police-chief-job-posting-in-stoughton" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">the Enterprise reported.</a>  Once the job is posted, applicants will have 21 days to apply. Applications will be sent to the selectmen office, where they will remain sealed and delivered to BadgeQuest, who will be conducting an assessment center.  Conducted by three police chiefs, the assessment center will place the candidates in scenarios they may see as the chief of police. Following the assessment center, BadgeQuest will provide the selectmen with scores and finalists. The target date was Jan. 10, 2017.  The assessment center was also approved last week, with the selectmen signing off on about $10,000 for the service.  Only internal applications will be considered.  Image: File Photo
