Groovy Afternoon at The Last Shot

Southeastern Mass’ classic rock sensation, Groovy Afternoon, will bring their signature sounds to The Last Shot (559 Washington Street, Stoughton, MA) on Saturday, April 16, 2011 (9pm, Ages 21+).  This band of Merry Pranksters takes audiences on a musical journey back to the roots of rock with a performance sure to keep them moving, grooving and singing along with iconic Woodstock era favorites from such legendary artists as The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, The Beatles and more.

This band has been amazing audiences with their high energy concerts and have entertained thousands at such events as The Falmouth Road Race, the Cape Cod Music Festival, the Falmouth Town Dance, the Citizens Bank Concert Series and the Summer of Love Music Festival.  Upcoming summer dates have the band traveling all over New England.

The band members of Groovy Afternoon include critically acclaimed rock vocalist and screen actor Christine Mascott, who has appeared in the films Surrogates and The Invention of Lying.  The band also features guitarist Paul Mascott whose long list of performance credits includes international touring productions of The Who’s Tommy and Jesus Christ Superstar.  The band also includes Andrew Ianniello on drums who has been a fixture in the Southcoast music scene for the last 20 years and was a founding member of the iconic Cape band 57 Heavy.  Bassist Steve Restaino will be joining the group for this performance
