Expansion Set for Stoughton YMCA

The $4.2 million project will come from a $12.5 million bond from MassDevelopment.

A $12.5 million tax-exempt bond from MassDevelopment will help expand the Stoughton branch of the Old Colony YMCA along with its East Bridgewater and Plymouth locations.

In Stoughton, a $4.2 million expansion is planned for the Central Street building according to the Boston Globe. About 23,280 square feet will be added to the building along with more parking spaces.

Formerly the home of Striar Jewish Community Center, the project is expected to take 14-16 months.
