FBI Report: How Much Violent Crime Happened in Stoughton?

The FBI recently released its annual ”Crime in the United States” report, which includes information about Stoughton.

According to the report, Stoughton saw 95 violent crimes in 2014. Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.

There were seven reported rapes, 17 robberies, and 71 aggravated assaults.

Other crime stats for Stoughton include 358 larcenies, 96 burglaries, 28 motor vehicle thefts, and 482 property crimes.

Nationally, violent crime decreased nationally last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
