Five Able To Escape Burning House In Stoughton

STOUGHTON, MA — Five people were able to escape an early morning fire in Stoughton Friday.

At about 2:51 a.m., a blaze broke out inside a two-story home on Sumner Street and had spread to the front and back of the building.

Stoughton Fire Deputy Chief Scott Breen told the Boston Globe that all five people inside the home were able to evacuate the home without injury.

The fire was knocked down by 3:45 a.m.

The cause is under investigation.
