Hazmat Team Requested After Reaction To Substance At Medical Office

Stoughton police say the substance is contained and there is no threat to the area.

STOUGHTON, MA — A reaction to a substance resulted in police officers and firefighters responding to a building in Stoughton.

Wednesday evening, public safety officials received a report of an employee at a medical office on Sumner Street who had a reaction to a substance found in a patient's property. Stoughton police say the substance is contained and there is no threat to the area.

A hazmat team was called to the building to remove the substance as a precautionary action.
