Hearings Push Stoughton Sonic Opening to Next Year
Originally scheduled to open this summer, the Stoughton Sonic will not open until the spring at the earliest.

The plan was for the Stoughton Sonic to be preparing for their grand opening soon, but as it stands, the popular drive-in restaurant won’t be operating until next spring.
During a hearing for the site plan at a recent Planning Board meeting, Chairman Joseph Scardino suggested adding granite curbing and irrigation, with Vice Chairman William Angelos questioning the flat roof according to the Enterprise.
The board also asked about sidewalk improvements due to students walking there after school but Adam Winstanley, owner of the plaza where Sonic would be located, said the developer cannot pay for the sidewalks.
