How Much Will The Stoughton Recall Election Cost?
Many have been wondering about the price of December's special election.

STOUGHTON, MA — Many numbers have been thrown around about how much December’s special recall election will cost the town. With supporters on both sides throwing around numbers on social media, an official estimate was given at this week’s selectmen meeting.
Tuesday, Interim Town Manager Steve Anastos said he asked the town clerk’s office for the price and was told that the cost is about $26,000. The figure includes programming cards, supplies, ballots, advertising, poll workers, and police details.
The figure is an estimate, Anastos noted, with the price of some items like food for polls workers and police officers ranging from $600 to $900 and voting supplies could be as low as $500 and as high as $1,000.
