STOUGHTON, MA — Almost 60 percent of registered voters flooded to the polls in Stoughton for Tuesday's midterm election. According to the town's unofficial results, 11,181 of the 19,183 registered voters showed up to cast a ballot. Like most of the state, Stoughton overwhelmingly supported Gov. Charlie Baker over Democratic challenger Jay Gonzalez, 7,626-3,171. U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren defeated Republican Challenger Geoff Diehl, 6,317-4,355, while independent candidate Shiva Ayyadurai received 341 votes. Stoughton voters shut down Question 1, 7,351-3,486.
