How Stoughton Voted On Super Tuesday
Joe Biden won Stoughton by almost 800 votes over Bernie Sanders.
STOUGHTON, MA — Just over 6,700 Foxborough voters cast a ballot in the 2020 Super Tuesday primary election, a decrease of about 1,200 voters compared to the 2016 primary.
Former vice president Joe Biden won the Democratic vote in Stoughton with 2,169 votes, or roughly 39.5 percent of the vote. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders finished second with 1376, which came out to 25.1 percent support. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren finished a distant third in Stoughton amassing just 858 votes.
On the Republican side, President Donald Trump came out victorious, which was no surprise considering he faces no serious primary challenger. Trump got 1,105 votes, or 90.3 percent of the support of Stoughton residents who voted in the Republican Primary. Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld received just 196 votes.
