Inmate Confesses To Burglaries In Stoughton, Canton, Quincy
Anthony Brown admitted to burglaries in Stoughton, Canton, Quincy and Holbrook between 2012 and 2014.

STOUGHTON, MA — An inmate originally from Brockton, who's serving a 20-year prison sentence as a habitual offender will serve an additional two sentences after admitting to burglaries in Stoughton, Canton, Quincy and Holbrook prior to his sentence.
Anthony Brown, 57 pleaded guilty to stealing a laptop, ipads, jewelry, and more in Norfolk Superior Court. Prosecutors said the series of burglaries happened between 2012 and 2014.
He was sentenced on Nov. 5 to seven to eight years on five burglary counts and four to five years on four other charges. The additional sentences will run concurrently with Brown's 20-year sentence.

The sentencing was less than what prosecutor Emily Nesson recommended. She told the Patriot Ledger she thought a 15 to 18-year sentence would have been more appropriate.
Brown was on probation and wearing a GPS ankle bracelet, but was able to slip it on and off during the burglaries, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrisey said. Brown was eventually caught after Holbrook police used one the locating application in one of the Ipads and tracked it to his home.
