More Human Remains Discovered in Stoughton

Access to the Simpson Road area is open as of 3 p.m.

More human remains have been found in the Simpson Road area by investigations.

Stoughton police, members of the Massachusetts State Police, Stoughton Fire and other personnel returned to the area around 8 a.m. Friday morning to continue searching the area where a human bone was discovered by a passerby yesterday.

Searchers have located additional remains in the area according to the Norfolk District Attorney’s office. That location is being processed.

Search activity in the area is likely to continued through Friday afternoon, with investigators leaving the scene around 3 p.m. The remains have been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Boston for autopsy and identification work.

The investigation and search activity remain ongoing.
