New HS Construction Moves Stoughton High School Graduation

The new high school project means a new location for graduation.

STOUGHTON, MA — While the construction of the new Stoughton High School is exciting, it has brought along with it some temporary logistical challenges that comes with placing a new building next to the old one.

With the new building standing on what was once Anthony L. Sarno Field, Superintendent Marguerite Rizzi announced at Tuesday's school committee meeting that the Class of 2018 will receive their diplomas at Brockton High School if the weather allows for an outdoor ceremony. If there is poor weather, it will be held in the Stoughton High School auditorium.

The graduates will receive transportation by bus if the ceremony is at Brockton High School.
